To connect PayPal, open your dashboard Settings and enter your PayPal API credentials (Client ID and Secret) from your PayPal developer account. Cartcord encrypts these credentials and uses them only to create and capture orders on your behalf.
Once connected, your store shows a green "payment ready" badge. From that moment, every checkout your customers complete settles into your PayPal balance instantly. You can switch between sandbox mode for testing and live mode for real sales with a single toggle.
A quick note for teams: only the store owner can connect PayPal, and they must do it from their own dashboard. Administrators can manage products and orders, but billing and payouts stay with the owner for security.
