Look for the supported operating system, runtime, application version and required permissions. A bot may need a separate hosting account; a desktop program may need an installer. Ask for a demonstration of the specific feature you need rather than assuming every feature in a screenshot is included.
Check the device limit, license term and transfer rules. A unique key delivered after payment does not by itself prove that the software implements activation checks or automatic renewal. If a listing promises online verification, ask how network outages, reinstallations and replacement hardware are handled.
Confirm whether updates are included, how releases are delivered and which support channel the seller monitors.
