Compare the complete selling workflow
Begin with the kind of business you operate. A marketplace, a membership platform and a Discord storefront solve different problems. List the capabilities you need: discovery, payment processing, tax handling, file hosting, license delivery, community access and customer support. A lower platform percentage is useful only when the alternative covers your real requirements and your products are eligible for its checkout.
Use your own monthly sales, order count, average price and support costs in the calculators. Include payment processing, fixed transaction charges and any paid add-ons. Comparison scenarios are estimates rather than a merchant quote. Cartcord uses a flat server plan with zero sales commission; sellers receive payments through their connected PayPal account. That arrangement does not make Cartcord a merchant of record or remove your business obligations.
Before moving customers, test a small eligible catalog, review product URLs and explain how existing purchases will remain accessible. Check refunds, disputes, recurring memberships and account linking separately. Cartcord's current buyer payments are one-time; recurring buyer billing and direct game-command fulfillment are not released. FiveM server monetization must follow Cfx.re's required Tebex arrangement. A comparison page does not authorize bypassing those rules.
- vs WhopWhop offers payment processing and optional commerce services. Cartcord uses a flat per-store plan and seller PayPal checkout for one-time products. Compare the actual services, processing costs, billing needs and buyer recovery rather than treating every published percentage as a marketplace commission.
- vs TebexTebex provides game commerce for supported ecosystems. Cartcord provides configured Discord delivery and independent seller PayPal checkout only for permitted offerings. FiveM's required Tebex checkout and Cfx.re licensing are not replaced, and Cartcord's game-server command engine is not released.
- vs Upgrade.chatUpgrade.chat offers PayPal/Stripe connections, memberships and other commerce workflows. Cartcord currently offers one-time seller PayPal purchases with five configured delivery methods. Choose by the billing, access, recovery and payment capabilities your community actually needs.
- vs SellAuthBoth SellAuth and Cartcord publish zero platform sales-commission models. SellAuth advertises broader payment methods and plan-dependent recurring/affiliate features; Cartcord focuses on Discord-authorized workspaces and one-time seller PayPal checkout. Compare current limits and capabilities instead of assuming one avoids a percentage the other charges.
- vs GumroadGumroad's published pricing includes percentage and fixed components and a distinct discovery-sales rate. Cartcord charges a flat store plan and uses the seller's PayPal account. Compare processing, hosting, tax responsibilities, buyer recovery and your actual order count before treating a headline fee difference as a complete saving.
- vs PatreonPatreon's standard platform fee for newly published creator pages is 10%, plus applicable processing charges. Cartcord charges a flat server plan and grants one-time roles after PayPal capture. Cartcord is a fit for one-time access; it does not replace recurring membership billing. Optional timed passes have a separate expiry-service readiness gate.
